About Leanne Simpson
Leanne travelled south early this year to attend the "Sydney One Week Tai Chi Workshop" as a Scholarship recipient. She was presented together with 3 other Tai Chi instructors from around Australia a trophy to acknowledge her win by Dr Paul Lam, the creator of several Tai Chi for Health programs.ss
She has recently published a illustrated book titled "Time Out Tai Chi - Welcoming Jing." This fun book introduces basic Tai Chi principles as new friendships are made between Jing the Panda, Rose the possum and Vinny the Platypus. This book was very well received at the Sydney Workshop.
Leanne has been passionate about writing since returning from an "Around Australia Trip" with her husband Bryce and their two girls Bonnie and Jamiesen. The idea for the book came about when she started sharing Tai Chi with children by taking animal drawings and telling a story about them to help keep the youngsters engaged. This proved to be very successful.Parents, grandparents and teachers are encouraged to use Time Out Tai Chi to start the experience and when ready find a qualified instructor to help explore further Tai Chi forms.
Her training includes being taught the Tai Chi for Arthritis program by Master Trainers in Mackay and at Dr Paul Lam's Sydney Tai Chi Workshop and by attending a Tai Chi for Diabetes course with Dr Paul Lam in Brisbane.
Leanne teaches Tai Chi for Health classes and workshops for all ages and hopes to live up to the philosophy of "move it or lose it" or "just fake it til you make it
